This past weekend was chock full of fun; just the way Louise likes it.
On Friday we went to a bridal shower for my pal Jennifer. It wasn't your typical bridal shower and there were lots of little ones running around. A good time was had by all.
The really big party was on Saturday for Jen and Pete's wedding. They tied the knot at a gorgeous spot by the river, just about a mile from our house. It was definitely a contender for the best wedding I've ever been to. Great location, outdoors, great live music, horses, llamas, Mexican buffet, the nicest folks ever, tons of kid stuff for Louise, shenanigans...
Louise was the star of the dance floor. I think she danced a bout 3 hours total, going full speed. At one point she was too tired to stand up so she got all the way down on the floor and did the snake dance.
When she wasn't busting a move on the dance floor, she enjoyed hanging out with the other children. Jen and Pete had so many fun things for the kids: bubble machines, painting station, face painting, giant bugs, play dough, sparkly hair spray, and dress ups for the dance floor.
On Sunday we went to Anna's 2nd birthday party. Anna is in Louise Mom's Morning Out program. For a while they were the only 2 girls in the class. Anna is only 2 but she has as much hair as I do. She's a cool kid. We like her parents and enjoyed chilling out with their pals and some other classmates.
Yesterday we went to UNCA's Concert on the Quad where we met up with some friends and kids and relaxed on a blanket in the grass while Louise danced and ran around to the brass band music with all of the other kiddos.
Now we're ready to just hang out at home tonight and go to bed early.
