Charleston

Last weekend we traveled to Charleston, SC to spend time with the Demory family. The littlest Demory, Samson, is the same age as Louise, so it worked out perfectly.

Here you can see Samson chillin’ in his stroller at the nature place (I can’t remember the name of it.) The highlight at the nature center was the turkey gobbling. We found that if we all clapped our hands, we could get the toms to gobble loudly at the same time. It was really funny.

Charleston was a gas. Our hosts were wonderful. They have a great home and fantastic backyard. Simon put his grill to good use twice over the weekend, sharing his famous grilled chicken on one night and ribs another night.

Samson graciously shared his sandbox, bathtub, toys, and sprinkler. Special thanks to Erin, too, who made us feel at home.

We’re glad to be home again where the temperatures are still only in the seventies. In Charleston it was already too hot to go outside by 10am. Crazy! I don’t know how they do it!!
